Modern Warfare Remastered Paid Map Pack Causes Major Fan Backlash

Is it 2016 all over again? Call Of Duty/Activision is once again under fire but this time it’s about the upcoming Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered DLC map pack. The map pack which is called “Variety Map Pack” and was also a DLC for the original game is going to be a paid DLC once again. Many are furious that Activision chose to make it a paid DLC again rather than a free DLC like many other developers do for remastered titles.

The complaints didn’t stop there as the DLC will actually cost more than it did when it released 9 years ago. The price for the map pack back in 2008 was $10 but it will now $14.99. It’s an extremely questionable decision by Activision, and one that has caused a lot of anger from the Call Of Duty fans with many disliking the trailer for the map pack which you can see below.

Lol, I'm still waiting until MWR is sold separately. I'm not purchasing IW at all and never will.

Although i dislike how they did this, from s business perspective, it is the smartest thing to do. they will probably make over a million dollars from this mappack alone

It was obvious that this game was just going to be a cash grab cloaked as giving back to fans all from the beginning. If people are repeatedly disappointed with how the game is, stop funding devs!
Why pay more for something that should've been included in the game for free?

The game itself isn't new. It's a remaster. Any other game like halo & etc when remastered comes with all content available, no exceptions. It's just sad that activision doesn't care about the consumer. I understand they have to make money but this is just ridiculous. Rip CoD, you won't be missed

It's not included in the season pass for infinite warfare so people have a right to be angry

It's a remastered game, like the article said "Many are furious that Activision chose to make it a paid DLC again rather than a free DLC like many other developers do for remastered titles." And on top of that it's $5 more. Imo re buying a dlc you bought years ago is unfair even for a company that's as rich as Activision is. Sad.

This is stupid They already made us pay $80+ for MWR, now they're making us pay another $15 for maps??
