Modern Warfare Remastered Paid Map Pack Causes Major Fan Backlash

Is it 2016 all over again? Call Of Duty/Activision is once again under fire but this time it’s about the upcoming Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered DLC map pack. The map pack which is called “Variety Map Pack” and was also a DLC for the original game is going to be a paid DLC once again. Many are furious that Activision chose to make it a paid DLC again rather than a free DLC like many other developers do for remastered titles.

The complaints didn’t stop there as the DLC will actually cost more than it did when it released 9 years ago. The price for the map pack back in 2008 was $10 but it will now $14.99. It’s an extremely questionable decision by Activision, and one that has caused a lot of anger from the Call Of Duty fans with many disliking the trailer for the map pack which you can see below.

The maps on that map pack are probably some of the worst ones ive played, the games already dead anyway so no thanks. i paid £95 for this bundle and they want me to pay more for a few maps for a dead game.

Im not gonna pay 15$ for 4 old maps when i already paid 80 for a game I didn't even want in the first place

It's so sad because many people used to really look forward to cod and any news. Now it's a chore just playing the game and seeing all the bad press. It's like the only ones ever hyping cod are Activision, not like it used to be, when fans basically drove the game in the direction we all wanted, and generally most were happy. Obviously Activision has to make money but there's other ways to do it.

Another publisher should bid for the franchise it'd have to be someone big that doesn't already have a main shooter. Take cod off for 5 or so years let the need for it die a bit then bring it back on new hardware featuring ultra realistic visuals but keep the fast pace action with quick games. Merge the studios into one and make a monster of a game.

Just because you can churn out a game every year or so, doesn't mean you should.

They shouldn't be charging for this, let alone charging more than it was originally released for. This is just looking more and more like a money grab from Activision

They changed all the prcies a long time ago after cod4 was released with its dlc so they are updating to current DLC packages but nowadays dlc comes with more than just 4 maps :::/ so i think this is a terrible decision and if they dont want to completely **** their whole mwr playerbase make this a free dlc.... or at least put in in twine with the people that got the season pass on infinite warfare.
