PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds tops $11M in 3 days on Steam Early Access
The game went live on Early Access on March 24, and ha since earned more than $11 million, with more than 67,000 active players.
64 players are dropped onto an 8 x 8 km island and have to scavenge for weapons and resources in a last-man-standing free-for-all.
Brendan Greene, aka PlayerUnknown, created the Battle Royale mod for Arma 2 which eventually became H1Z1, so if you’ve given that a whirl, you’ll know what you’re in for. Greene teamed up with Bluehole for the project, and if you think it might be your cup of tea, you can find it on Steam for £26.99, where it has mostly positive reviews.
Have you given this a try yet? Let us know what you thought of the game or if you’ll be picking it up now that it’s in Early Access.

I'm glad this game has had great success. It's great to essentially see a mod get turned into a game and the developer of the mod be apart of it.

Watched a couple streams on it and the game does look pretty fun, considering I like H1Z1.

Very fun i have a few hundred hours on H1Z1 it's a lot slower paced, and the map is huge but lots of cool guns and attachments. In the current state of the game it has performance issues if you have a lower spec computer but if you play with all settings on low you still can get a 20-30 FPS gameplay. The developers are going to fix performance issues in the coming updates as the min priorities so it will get better and better. RIP to H1Z1

SagePete_SchweddyHollywood_UndeadPete_Schweddy Bought it the first day it launched... Very cool and I'm sure it will be fun. However, at the current state it's pretty much not done enough to be worth the purchase. Running a i5 Skylake system with 16gb of ram and a GTX 1070 (with 2150 OC) struggled to hit 60fps while having massive lag spikes. I refunded with steam about an hour into play time.
Hence "EARLY ACCESS"
READ IT.
Thats why its 30 and not 60 because of dumb people who dont know how early access works. thats why they say "DONT BUY IF YOURE NOT READY TO FIND ISSUES"
Like holy cow people cant read.
They should take off the refund system for early access games and put another pop up with "Are you sure you want to buy this and help the devs by following up with updates and future game content"
Why the salt? Just saying H1z1 is far more playable with it also being early access... Not sure why you're ranting.. I think it's important for people to know that above average hardware struggles to play the game before they spend $30 on the game... Also the game at launch will still be $30. Refund system is fine because it keeps people from losing money if the game doesn't work on their computer or if they decide they don't want it. Before you comment it's a good idea to make sure you think it through fully. Definitely not cool slamming someone for giving feedback on a gaming forum.
Reasons why h1z1 is more playable since it also early access is because its been out for a long time and they have had time to optimize... While PUBG just came out and is VERY early access so to speak... I also didnt see player splitting his game into 2 parts and selling them separately ..
No doubt, I was just making people aware that the game doesn't run at a playable level in my opinion with the consideration of it being a early access game. No point in people buying a early access game super early if they can't run it. I plan to rebuy it once they put a few more patches out but ATM charging $30 for a game that still should be alpha with the level of bugs/optimization needing to be addressed. I was just surprised by the hostility from the other user. I wouldn't want to be told to buy a game that wouldn't work unless I had a GTX titan X pascal if I could avoid it. That is all...

Well worth it if you like the Battle Royale genre and have previously played H1Z1.
I personally have a fair few hours with H1Z1 and found it had just gone down the road of pumping out more crates and grabbing for more micro transaction money; while the game play became stagnant and a car fest.
PUBG still has a way to go with graphics and smoothing out the animations and bugs here and there. But from pre-alpha to the Beta launch on steam it has made a lot more progression that its competition.
The game play is a lot more fun and produces more highlights, I would recommend giving it a crack.

To be fair, the game did JUST come out of Alpha. Bugs are to be expected, and it's encouraged that you find them. Also, it is built on the Arma engine, which is known to tank FPS, so there's that too.
