Halo: Reach 5% players have beaten Campaign solo on Legendary

Bungie’s Halo installments are notoriously difficult on high difficulty levels. And the same is proving true for Halo: Reach.

Its Legendary difficulty, the highest difficulty setting players can choose, is a downright beast. Difficult to beat cooperatively, and nearly impossible to tackle flying solo.

So it makes sense that in this week’s Bungie Weekly Update, the developer revealed a startling statistic.

According to Bungie, barely more than 5% of the Halo: Reach userbase have earned the “A Monument to All Your Sins” achievement. That chieve is unlocked when players, as you would guess, beat the campaign on Legendary, all alone.

I beat the campaign on Heroic by myself and at times I felt like throwing my controller at the wall (goddamn Hunters!). Currently I’m slogging through on Legendary with my brother across Xbox Live and, yeah, it’s a b*tch.

I think people put too much of an emphasis on the campaign. It isn't hard by yourself, you just need to move slow, and if you can run past a large group of enemies then do it. Noob combo is your best friend as well.

i FIND IT FUNNY SOME PEOPLE HERE SAY THEY BEAT THE GAME BUT THEY DONT HAVE THE ACHIEVEMENT OR THEY MODDED THEIR GAMER SCORE AND I BEAT IT IN CO-OP TOOK ME DAYS BUT I CANT EVEN FINISH THE FIRST MISSION ON LEGANDARY PRETTY SAD I THINK IM THE ONLLY ONE HERE THAT COMMENTED SAYING THAT THEY HAVENT BEAT THE GAME ALONE

ya i beat it on legendary alone it was a hastle the last mission took me more than 100 minutes

I have beaten all but 3 missions on legendary solo. I like to think of myself as a very good halo player. I did it fairly easy with my best friend co-op. Legendary is proving difficult on solo but it takes more patience then skill.

it was very easy i though beat in solo in 3 days wasnt that hard should of made it harder

Yes, yes I have. It was hands down one of the hardest achievements I've earned for a while. It took me a long time but with this new stat it makes it worth it. Being in that 5% category makes me feel pretty good. Oh and I beat it solo legendary a few weeks ago :D
