Project Scorpio reportedly set to cost $499

Project Scorpio will cost $499 - according to Geoff Keighley.

Keighley, who as producer and creator of The Game Awards, E3 Coliseum and YouTube Live at E3 has close ties with video game industry executives, took to Twitter today to declare the unannounced price of Microsoft's super powerful console.

If true, it means Project Scorpio will cost at launch the same as Xbox One + Kinect did when it came out back in 2013, but £100 more than PS4 Pro currently goes for.

Xbox One launched at £429 in the UK. It'll be interesting to see how much Project Scorpio will cost on these shores - and whether Microsoft offers some kind of pack-in game, or perhaps even an Xbox Game Pass subscription, to soften the blow. Games due out from Microsoft include Forza 7, Crackdown 3 and Sea of Thieves.

I thought it would be more too, you're getting a lot of power in a small box I thought it'd be up in the 600s, it's an ok price yeah some have to wait until Christmas or abit longer but still, not to harsh on the wallet for what you get

Tbh when you think about it, $500 isn't even a lot of money. if you started saving $10 everyday from when the Scorpio was announced you'd have more than enough to buy one.

dah I know the price of that console would cost a bit. Money stealing idiots. Why would someone spend that much money on a console? I know someone mad head freak would buy it just over the hype but after a while. I think that person will soon get bored of the console.


So your calling yourself pretty much a mad head freak as you probably spent 500 dollars when the ps4 or xbox one were first released. There not really money stealing idiots the console speaks for itself its a beast. We haven't even seen the console and you are already judging just sit back and watch the show.
