Speaking to Daily Star, Michael Condrey of Sledgehammer Games offered the following thoughts on Uplink and other game modes in Call of Duty: WW2:
“We haven’t announced all the modes we’re bringing to the game … we introduced Uplink in Advanced Warfare and we have a lot of heart for that. So we’re looking to make that thematically appropriate for WW2. It’s something we’re still working on. There will be a much broader suite of modes.”
The impulsive reaction to Condrey’s comments might be to assume that Uplink, or a similar mode thematically built for World War 2, won’t be in the game at launch. That may not be the case, however, as Condrey says Sledgehammer has yet to revealed all of Call of Duty: WW2‘s multiplayer modes. There’s still an opportunity for the studio to surprise fans in the months to come.
