The Division’s first Classified Gear Set may be unbeatable

Tom Clancy’s The Division has new Classified Gear Sets now live on the game’s public test server, and YouTuber Arekkz is here to break the first set down for us.

Part of the upcoming 1.7 update, players can test out the first Classified Gear Set by going to the game’s special equipment vendor to find several free caches that unlock the six pieces of the gear for use in the PTS. Arekkz’s first Classified Gear Set breakdown focuses on the Striker Gear Set, and while Classified Gear Sets can have their attributes recalibrated, Arekkz is critiquing the Gear Set as it dropped.

Classified Gear Sets add two more buffs to a player for a respective fifth and sixth gear piece equipped, instead of the four-piece bonuses of the standard set. While the fifth bonus for the Classified Striker Gear Set is a basic stat buff, the sixth bonus ability, Striker’s Persistence, is something Arekkz refers to as Striker’s God Mode.

Put simply, dealing consistent damage with a weapon increases a stat that drastically boosts the rate at which the player regenerates health. The way it is now, dealing enough damage to max out the ability’s stat allows the player to regain health almost instantly. This will likely see an adjustment, assuming the developers don’t want a bunch of immortal players running around. Granted, the ability can be temporarily nullified with an EMP, but that isn’t enough to quell its efficacy.

From the looks of it the armor buff is stupid OP but i can almost guarantee the nerf is going to waste it.
