The Call of Duty series has always been a first-person experience at its core, apart from the occasional and optional dalliance with third-person. Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey recently responded to a fan question on Twitter regarding rumors of a third-person perspective in WWII‘s Zombies mode. While he didn’t exactly resolve the issue at hand—the confusing wording of the question makes it unclear whether Condrey is saying third-person isn’t in Zombies at all, that Zombies supports both third- and first-person, or that third-person is in Zombies but also in other game modes—the studio head did confirm that at least one mode, Headquarters, will definitively include a third-person camera.
Crushed. The game is about gun and combat skill across all modes. Though HQ is also a social & peacocking space so it is largely 3rd person

Similar to the Tower in Destiny, a third-person perspective in social spaces makes in easier to navigate around the non-combat zone, while giving players the opportunity to better appreciate the look of their characters. Aside from general socialization, WWII‘s Headquarters mode will offer scorestreak testing, 1v1 PvP arenas, player commendations, and more.
Call of Duty: WWII is slated to launch November 3rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
