New games releasing this week: September 11 – September 17

4.1
Sports season has kicked off, with the two “other” franchises getting in ahead of their rivals. PES 2018, the “other” football game, probably deserves a great deal of respect even if it can’t challenge the almighty FIFA. NBA Live 18, on the other hand, comes to us from a series that has not proven much of a rival to the almighty NBA 2K. NHL 18 is also due this week, but it’s not an also ran but best in class. A class of one, alas.

RPG fans should definitely check out Divinity: Original Sin 2. The first one was rad as heck and Larian sure seems to have doubled down on what made it so great. If you’ve ever enjoyed a tabletop RPG (like Dungeons & Dragons), or if you’ve always wanted to try, please, please, please play this in co-op with a good friend (or more than one). There’s also Ys 8: Lacrimosa of Dana if you’re more into the J end of the RPG scale.

On Switch, look for Rayman Legends Definitive Edition. Obviously this isn’t a new game, but as we’re all continually discovering, everything is just kind of better on Switch – so perhaps its time you discovered this genuinely joyful platforming adventure.

vJGv PES gets no love over in Europe but it's apparently super popular in South America

It's just because Fifa has always been the better game for many so overall it just gets much less players - don't see why it's popular in SA though.

It's probably better marketing. The problem with PES is that they don't even have the correct club names because they didn't buy the licence. Who wants to play as 'London Blues' when you can play as Chelsea
