Doom for Nintendo Switch Will Not Include SnapMap Level Editor

4.3
The reboot to the iconic demon-filled shooter, Doom, brought its fast-paced gameplay to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC last year for the first time since Doom 3 in 2004. Yesterday, during the Nintendo Direct, it was announced that the popular id Software title will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch this year. However, a few features will be getting cut for the upcoming port.

Bethesda revealed that the Switch version of Doom will not include the SnapMap level editor. This allowed players to create their own levels with custom gameplay options and play them on any platform.

While the plethora of user-generated maps made with the SnapMap feature may be absent, all of the game’s DLC will be available for free. However, players who plan on purchasing the physical version will only receive the campaign mode on the cartridge. A free update will be available that will include the game’s multiplayer mode. Players who purchase the game on the eShop will receive everything the game has to offer upon downloading the fast-paced shooter.

Doom was not the only Bethesda produced game to be revealed during the Nintendo Direct. It was also announced that the upcoming first-person shooter, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, will be available next year.

I really can't imagine playing Doom on a Switch tbh - can't imagine many doing so either.
