To get a better understanding of just how many people are playing this game at the same time, it’s as if about half of the United States’ population stopped what they were doing and started playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. All of these statistics can be seen on SteamCharts, where you can visually see how popular the title has become since it launched in March this year through Steam Early Access.
Additionally, on PLAYERUNKNOWN’s Twitter account, one of three new vehicles coming to the new shooter have been revealed, which is a new van. The screenshot of the Volkswagen-inspired van can be seen in the tweet below.
I mentioned we’re working on 3 new vehicles for @PUBATTLEGROUNDS in my AMA earlier this week. Today I’m excited reveal the first of these... pic.twitter.com/OkiDN3Me5Q

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently in Early Access and available for PC through Steam for $29.99. The game is set to launch in 2018. An Xbox One version will be available sometime this year through its Game Preview program. Although developer Bluehole Studios only expected the title to ship only 200,000 to 300,000 units, it substantially surpassed those numbers and has sold over 10 million copies since debuting.
