PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds latest patch hits test servers tomorrow

4.6
It’s not as hefty as the massive September patch, but bug fixes are welcome all the same.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds recently launched an utterly massive patch (complete with a brand-new town), which may have had something to do with the game shattering its concurrent player record again. While we shouldn’t expect an update of that scale for some time, the developer has turned its attention back to regular bug fixes. The latest such patch arrives on test servers tomorrow, and will be transferred to the Live Servers if they don’t break the entire game.

Week 27’s patch notes are included below.

UI/UX
Enhanced breathing animation in the Spectator mode
Added a new feature in the Settings to adjust the zoom-in and zoom-out speed of the World Map

Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that made the shadows disappear mid-game
Fixed a graphic bug related to players who left the game inside of the starting airplane
Fixed a bug that prevented users from seeing the full alias of their teammates
Improved the synchronization between player aim and spectator aim
Fixed a bug to accurately display teammates’ marker direction in Free Look mode

While they may be small updates, its a hell of a lot better than what we would have gotten with H1 when it dominated the scene. Glad to see the devs working with the community to help improve the game as much as possible.
