Bungie confirmed that Destiny 2 will indeed be available to download prior to its release next week on PC.
Fans were worried the PC version may have a short pre-load window, or none at all, seeing as Bungie had pretty much clarified all other details expect that one. By other details I mean system requirements, default control mappings, app incompatibilities, and the like.
This is particularly important because the PC version has all the signs of a good port, barring some bizarre limitations with certain PC programs. Here’s Bungie’s tweet:
Destiny 2 will be available for preload for the PC starting on 10/18. pic.twitter.com/8SIMS1q3dE

Bungie did not say what time the pre-load is going to start, but this shouldn’t be too much of a problem considering the lead-up time. You’ll especially want to read on how to level up fast and avoid the plateaus your console friends have been hitting since September.
Destiny 2 releases October 24 on PC.
