Sledgehammer on “next Call of Duty”

Two’s company, but three’s a crowd. Could be in Call of Duty’s case, as a third developer might be stepping in to make the next title in the series. Now that Treyarch have had its turn this time, we may not be back to Infinity Ward for the next Modern Warfare, we’ll be over to Sledgehammer Games; the new kids on the block.

An advertisement for a job vacancy at Sledgehammer Games simply reads: “Would you like the chance to build and drive the studio community management effort for Sledgehammer and the next Call of Duty game?”

The company was set up in 2009 by Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, both of whom worked on sci-fi horror Dead Space. Schofield has already said that the next Call of Duty will feature superior audio to Dead Space. As well as this, Call of Duty under Sledgehammer’s development will include “real stuff” in terms of the military simulation. I suppose after the ludicrous display from Black Ops, anything could be “real stuff” in comparison.

Well If this new company "sledgehammer" makes the new call of duty, i guess it would be better, sense the graphics on dead space were actually pretty well done. But alot of veteran call of duty players may get of call of duty franchise its self, i mean come on theres been 8 call of duty's.I think thats enough, every single one got more boring and more boring, starting from cod4.

Your all misinformed, Sledgehammer games studio consists of the people who made COD4 and MW2,
the reason they are now called Sledgehammer games is because after two senior employees of Infinity Ward were being fired due to "breaches of contract and insubordination"
They also said Infinity Ward did not received royalties from the sales of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, because the developer may have breached their contract with Activision by holding meetings with other video game publishers.

Shortly after that the rest of Infinity ward left Activision and Created Sledgehammer Games, This is why Black ops sucked so much D!ck.

If your expecting a Good call of duty Expect it from these guys, They are the people who started the original franchise and also made the best version (COD4).

If they make a game that's actually fun and doesn't make me want to throw my fist through a wall (like Black Ops) then I'll feel no need to cheat for awhile. I got 7th prestige legit on MW2 however Black ops is so bad I've not even gotten to 2nd. Hopefully this game is great and restores our faith in Call of Duty

You know, the game ratings are only for the campainge. Black Ops sucks only due to the unblanced multiplayer. People buy cods for multiplayer only really. I buy for all the modes it has. But i hope these guys make a good cod. Dead space was a great game but i hope the real stuff wont be like this. Mission 1:Dirty Warfare. Objective 1:Clean bathrooms with tooth brush. I hope it wont be like that. We need to go back to like cod 4 and cod waw styles for a type of game.

Im sure activision will make it good they know what they are doing except for in the category of modding which is not a big deal it revolutionizes the game
