Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene recently took to Twitter to confirm that the game has reached an impressive new sales mark on Steam, clearing out 20 million copies sold. That’s pretty amazing for a game that has come out of the blue.
Greene noted the following in his tweet:
“@PUBATTLEGROUNDS reached an amazing milestone this weekend, passing 20 million copies sold! I know a lot of you are frustrated by issues w/ the game but the team is working hard to deliver a truly great Battle Royale experience for everyone,” he noted. “Bear with us, change is coming!”
It’s unknown what exactly this “change” is going to be, but it seems like some fixes could soon be added to the game to provide a little bit of balance, so that newcomers may not feel so overwhelmed when it comes to pursuing that much sought-after chicken dinner.
Bluehole, the developers behind the game, did note that it was working further on cracking down on cheaters within Battleground’s world, and that it could be adding some other stuff to the game, like the recent ability to vault over objects. Sure, that may not sound like much, but it makes all the difference when you’re trying to run away from someone that’s shooting at you.
