Immediately following the reveal we've seen some debate about whether this month's games are worth it, and from our perspective, everything is looking freaking dandy. The standout Xbox One title this month is Warhammer: End Times - Vermentide, which is a fantastic co-op adventure that you and your friends are going to love. Did you ever play Left 4 Dead? Did you love Left 4 Dead? If so, you'll be glad to know that it's pretty much the same core team that came together and made Vermintide. It's basically Left 4 Dead set in the Warhammer universe with melee weapons and crossbows and magic. What's not to love about that?!
The rest of the Xbox One lineup is fine, and there's one Xbox 360 game included next month that you'll love if you own a -- wait for it -- Kinect! Let's take a look at the full lineup.
Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide
"The once proud city of Ubersreik now stands in ruin at the hands of the dreaded Skaven army. Few have survived their ruthless invasion. Team up with 3 friends and work together to thin out the ratmen’s forces and drive them out of the city. Assume the role of one of five heroes, and hack, slash, smash, burn and pierce the vile Skaven using a multitude of weapons. Fight your way through the city of Ubersreik, from the top of the Magnus Tower to the bowels of the Under Empire. "
Back to the Future: The Game
"Six months after Back to the Future Part III, the DeLorean time machine mysteriously returns to Hill Valley – driverless! Marty McFly must once again go back in time, or else the space-time continuum will be forever unraveled! Featuring Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown, Tom Wilson as Biff Tannen, and Claudia Wells as Jennifer Parker, with a special appearance by Michael J. Fox, and introducing A.J. LoCascio voicing Marty McFly. Created in cooperation with movie series Co-Writer and Producer, Bob Gale. "
Child of Eden:
"Child of Eden is a rhythm action game created by Tetsuya Mizuguchi, best known for Rez, developed by Q Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The game announcement opened Ubisoft's pre-E3 2010 press conference and was one of the first titles shown with support for Xbox 360's Kinectperipheral. The game serves as a prequel to Mizuguchi's earlier game Rez and sees players shoot at various targets which produce melodic sounds upon destruction."
Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death:
"A new breed of WARRIOR returns, committed to destroying the enemies of FREEDOM! No-nonsense hero Marlow never shied away from danger or trouble. But now he faces his ULTIMATE challenge. Blasting into Central America, he has an industrial evil to defeat whilst bound to an ancient Mayan Death Mask who’s had no-one to talk to for 2000 years. With cliffhanger over the top action and cinematic gameplay, Marlow Briggs takes inspiration from the best of blockbuster films, comic book heroes, and action games with its focus on relentless high-octane combat, exotic and danger filled environments and epic set pieces."
