Despite the Dead Space series only spawning a few games, players can purchase the first two installments in the series for $4.99 each. Or you can buy the Dead Space Collection for $14.22, which includes Dead Space 1& 2 as well as the two films based on the Dead Space universe – Downfall and Aftermath. Unfortunately, Dead Space 3 is not available in this sale due to the game never receiving a release on Valve’s PC digital distribution platform.
The Dead Space franchise was established in 2008 when the first game was released on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Set in a 26th-century universe featuring science fiction-themed environments, environments, and characters, players control Isaac Clarke, an engineer who must endure reanimated and ghoulish creatures called Necromorphs. The Dead Space trilogy was developed by Visceral Games and published by its parent company Electronic Arts.
Overall, the Dead Space games were commercially successful and reached critical acclaim, selling over eight million copies with the first game receiving the most favorable praise. Despite Dead Space‘s popularity, the chances of a sequel to 2013’s Dead Space 3 are slim after Electronic Arts decided to close down Visceral Games this year leaving future Dead Space up in the air.
