Battle Royale-type mode is coming to Call of Duty Online for China

Looks like Battle Royale is making its way into the China exclusive Call of Duty Online title.

A user uploaded a video showcasing the new Battle Royale style mode in action in Call of Duty Online, which is a free to play Call of Duty title available only in China. The game is developed by Raven Software and published by Tencent and Activision.

Battle Royale genre has taken over the gaming industry this past year, with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Epic Games’ Fortnite.

It’s not clear if a Battle Royale mode could come to future main Call of Duty title. Call of Duty Online currently remains a China only game with no plans for international expansion.

Not sure how this would work in the COD games that we play in the rest of the world..

Reevy As much as i'd like something like this in COD it looks pretty trash imo


It's on the specialized Chinese version of CoD which has everything from MW2 to BO3 in terms of guns and assets mixed in. No blood allowed and tons of crazy regulations in place there have made it kinda impossible for a normal CoD release.

yeah it still works for us. i play often.. as long as you remember your QQ number and password you are good. if you lost it then you are kinda f****d.


Not really lol... could easily just make another....

Yes I play it quite frequently as they are always adding new content and stuff.


Bruh the ping must be horrendous.....


It actually gives the player with the higher ping the advantage.
