Fallout 4 VR Gets a New Gameplay Video

4.5
With Fallout 4 VR‘s release date right around the corner, yesterday developer Bethesda Game Studios unveiled a new video as well as the PC requirements for the upcoming virtual reality game.

The less than six-minute long video features Fallout 4 VR‘s Lead Producer Andrew Scharf and Community Manager Jess Finster, and the duo is shown throughout the video provides a walkthrough of the early stages of the game, giving several tips and tricks, as well as giving us an overview on the game’s controls.

In addition to an introduction/tutorial video, the developer has also revealed the PC requirements needed to run the title. Unlike its non-VR counterpart, Fallout 4 VR requires much more powerful hardware; a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070/AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 or better as your minimum GPU requirements. Of course, if you are an avid virtual reality gamer on your PC, you are set to run the game, even if it is in minimum settings. However, those looking to invest in a VR headset, you’re going to need to update your graphics card before you can dive into the virtual reality wasteland.

Here’s a rundown of the entire PC requirements courtesy of Bethesda:

MINIMUM:

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
  • Processor: CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD FX 8350 or better
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD RX Vega 56 or better
  • Storage: 30 GB available space

RECOMMENDED:

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)

  • Processor: CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X

  • Memory: 16 GB RAM

  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 / AMD RX Vega 64

  • Storage: 30 GB available space

Eh. Kind of like the editions to Skyrim, sort of pointless IMO

THQ That looks like an absolute mess in my opinion. Maybe it's better when actually playing but I though fallout 4 was a flop so I won't need to worry about it lol

I enjoyed the game myself, but must agree on the VR showed off here. The video seems skewed, everything is out of proportion and it would give me a headache to play that.

Hopefully it looks better when you play it, or at the very least that it will be updated.
