Modern Warfare 3 Ghost is Likely The Prequel

The UK Official PlayStation Magazine has lent credence to speculation that Modern Warfare 3 will be a prequel starring fan favourite character Ghost.

The mag's informants strengthen a rumour which first reared its head online early in January.

On the Rumour Machine page in its latest issue (055), OPM points to ""insider whispers" which suggest: "Infinity Ward's next Modern Warfare title will be a prequel, with Ghost in the lead role."

Other wicked whispers featured on the page include the suggestion that "Dead Space 3 is already in production" and that PS2 games will soon be available to download on PSP.

Last month, OPM predicted that Konami was hard at work on an HD Metal Gear Solid trilogy for PS3. All eyes turn to E3 for that one..

I hope they do make the prequel about Ghost. I love it when developers do back stories.

Actually, Cpt. Price wasn't at the scene where Gen. Sheperd killed him at Marakov's estate house.

He was in afghanistan for the 2nd part of the mission where 1 group goes to one place and the other goes to the other place. McTavish and Soap were together. I don't recall who was with Ghost though.

If it does become the prequel, I will be really bummed out. They left MW2 at an amazing cliffhanger where Nikolai says "Ugh, I know a place." I was really interested to see what would happen next. Hope it becomes a sequel instead.

Actually, Gen. Shepard Shot Ghost in the gut. And McTavish is Soap "Soap McTavish" is his name. The Character you was playing as was Rouch *I can't spell* Ghost and Rouch was both shot in the gut by Shepard and Burnt alive. At the Rescue Mission when your recovering the Information from Marakov's estate house.
