To start, it says server and client should perform better by changing the visible distance while your character is in the air. Players will also no longer spawn at the same place before matches, significantly easing the load times due to high density.
The update came with a post on Steam:
“Previously, all the players would spawn together at the same location awaiting the start of the match. Lots of interaction among multiple players in such a small area had a high impact on the servers. To solve this, we have introduced multiple areas where players gather before the match start. As a result, the performance, both server and client-side, has improved.”
The update also adds Russian, Japanese, and Chinese fonts to subtitles. Additionally, PUBG Corp. has also shared some of its plans for future updates, including “additional modifications” to airplane performance.
The last PUBG update for PC improved client optimization and ironed out a few bugs. The Xbox One version also receives regular updates, with the last one tweaking controller options to better optimize for a controller as opposed to the PC’s mouse and keyboard.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now for PC and Xbox One. The latest patch notes can be found below.
