Two days before landing in Early Access, the team behind Darwin Project updated the Spectator Interactions feature, a provided a set of patch notes.
If you are unfamiliar with Darwin Project, here’s the synopsis:
“The Darwin Project takes place in a dystopian post-apocalyptic landscape in the Northern Canadian Rockies. As preparation for an impending Ice Age, a new project, half science experiment half live-entertainment, is launched. It’s called the “Darwin Project” and it challenges participants to survive the cold and fight to the death in a treacherous arena. The Darwin Project offers a competitive multiplayer third person survival experience featuring at its core a new gameplay innovation: the manhunt. In his or her path to victory, a player must survive extreme environmental conditions, track opponents, and set traps in order to win.”
Before going into early access, the team pushed out a cross-livestream feature update. This added a health and cold bar as well as a Steam avatar to the vote interface – which will also now disappear after viewers cast their vote.
The studio also reduced the number of players required to start a Private Match from 10 down to two. It suggests players still try to find more people from the community and play matches with a full 10-player lobby.
