Rainbow Six Siege's first Season 3 update, Chimera was a large scale patch and as Ubisoft mentioned, today's patch should have been smaller, but the download size of 1.2GB was suspicious. Turns out it contained assets for the Italian ops.

This is the first patch since Chimera and Ubisoft pointed out on their update notice, ''you will not see the same level of fixes as a Season launch''. This update is slated for 21 March 2018, for PC, Xbox One and PS4. Patch notes only mention bug fixes and other minor repairs but curiously enough, the patch size is 1.2GB on Steam.

Well, this is because it deployed assets for the two upcoming Italian operators. It didn't take long for reddit sleuths to jump in on the action and leak a video of the two upcoming operators, and it took less time for Ubisoft to remove the said video. This pretty much confirmed it was legit.



The first leaked operator is Alibi and just as her name suggests she will have an ''alibi'' claiming she was somewhere else. Her abilities were leaked earlier, also on reddit.

Artex3, who dug this data out claimed the holograms could have different appearances or look different in the UI and his call seems to have been on point, as Alibi's holograms on the picture above are both different.

Maestro is the second G.I.S. operator that was leaked and his special ability will be to challenge Blackbeard over whose beard is better.

Jokes aside, Artex3 claims that this second operator will have a bulletproof camera which pretty much makes him a defender since attackers would have no use of such a device. Based on his appearance, I would hazard a guess that he is a 3 armor 1 speed operator.



As far as the official patch notes go, players seem to be ecstatic over this one. Fixed - All equipped weapon skins, charms, uniforms and headgear (except those awarded by the Season Pass) are reset to default after losing connectivity.

Many players have given up equipping skins and headgear altogether due to this issue and it seems their torment has finally come to an end. Let's just hope the fix actually works.
