Battlefield 3 vs Call of Duty: Showdown Marked for November

The Battlefield 3 release date may well have just been given away by the EA Download Manager - and if true, we'll be looking at a very possible dust up with Modern Warfare 3.

Activison's yet-to-be announced inevitability annually tends to launch in mid-November.

If the Battlefield 3 release date on EA Store is accurate - and it would be odd for the publisher to use such an accurate placeholder on its own site - EA could steal the march on its FPS rival by a full week.

November 2 is a Wednesday, which would make it at odds with the usual US release date day of Tuesday, whilst major games usually hit Europe on a Friday. For a title as big as Battlefield 3, however, a worldwide 'event' release date would not be too much of a wild surprise.

EA released a brand new Battlefield 3 gameplay trailer this week. If you haven't seen it, it's very much worth your time.

Can't judge this outcome until we see the new CoD, for all we know the videos alone could smash the expectations of BF3.

Mista-Roach I perfer CoD because it is more fun the graphics are better and the gameplay of battlefield isn't as fun. Also no one uses a mic on battlefield
well balck ops multi player didnt have good graphics

I've stopped looking forward to the Cod games now. Battlefield 3 will be amazing.

Battlefield is so much better than COD in my opinion. But this Fall im spending so much money on games, GOW3, COD, and Battlefield. im getting them all :D

Im I really big CoD fan and I have been playing it since CoD 3. But Looking at the battlefield 3 trailer it really looks good. They have managed to achieve what call of duty hasn't 'realistic'. I will still buy the next Call of Duty title as I enjoy there games, but Battlefield 3 will DEFINITELY by bought.

I think battlefield is a much better game ever since cod 4 the game wasn't popular but ever since little kids started playing it it got popular

I like batllefield for these reasons
It takes more skill
The guns have recoil
Better community
Doesn't get boring
Bigger maps

I could go on forever....

not a fanboy but i think cod will sale more copys if released just because its a little bit more popular with lil kids
