Treyarch announced at the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 reveal event that a private beta is scheduled to kick off before launch, but didn’t reveal much beyond that.
Now, thanks to the game’s page on GameStop Germany, we now know that the beta will be going live sometime in August, and PC will be included.
The wording confirming these details have since been removed, but not before Charlie Intel got a hold of it.
Towards the end of the game’s multiplayer trailer, seen below, Activision added a caveat that the beta may start on different dates for each platform. One of those platforms is PS4, where the beta will be starting early.
This was officially confirmed in the game’s European PlayStation trailer released shortly after the reveal, and it’s hardly surprising.
There’s still no word about DLC exclusivity this time around, but some believe Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will ditch the multiplayer season pass this year, which is likely why we have yet to hear any details about multiplayer DLC.
More may be unveiled at E3 in June.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out October 12 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
