It’s time to oil up the racks and prepare for your role as an Inquisitor in NeocoreGames’ ambitious new title Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr, which has just released a new feature trailer to get us all hyped over the upcoming release.

Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr puts the player center stage in the Imperium of Man’s Inquisition as an Inquisitor. Acting as the secret police to the Emperor, the Inquisition is tasked with hunting down any threats to the God-Emperor’s rule, including mutants, heretics, rebels, Xenos, the Chaos Legion, vicious alien species, and more.

Phew…the Emperor sure has a lot of threats. You’re gonna be busy in this game.

The feature trailer for the game reveals the that dark and brutal world of Warhammer will continue on, highlighting the all-important blood and gore factor. Some beautifully destructible environments are also showcased, as well as a cover system, the promise of advanced enemy A.I., and bosses. There’s some vehicles too!

Additionally, the feature trailer highlights some of the narrative of the game, including the persistent world, the story-based campaign, randomized side-missions, and a new “Uther’s Tarot” mission crafting system, which looks very neat.

Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr will also feature co-op, PVP, guilds, leaderboards, and global events. As an action RPG, the game has a multitude of branching skill trees and paths you can take in your service to the Emperor (praise be). The feature trailer highlights the three classes thus far: Crusader, Assassin, and Psyker. Fans of the series may finally get the sprawling world of Warhammer brought to a proper RPG rather than an RTS in NeocoreGames’ hopeful vision.
