E3 2018: Ubisoft Recap - Trials Rising, Beyond Good & Evil 2, Division 2

Ubisoft kicked off its E3 presentation with Beyond Good and Evil 2, and a reintroduction to Jade.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 may be a prequel, but fans still want to hear more about the iconic characters of the original game. The latest trailer did not disappoint on that front, as the crew introduced at last year’s E3 have a hostile encounter with the DomZ – seemingly led by Jade herself.

Trials: Rising screeched onto the stage at Ubisoft’s E3 event. The stylish, over-the-top motorcycle game will enter a closed beta later this year and the full game will launch February 2019 on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

Ubisoft RedLynx cofounder and game director Antti Ilvessuo made a grand entrance, leaping on stage and proclaiming, “Trials is all about crashing with style and getting back up again.” Joining him was Brad Hill, also known as Professor Fat Shady, who creates the YouTube series the University of Trials. The two of them explained how RedLynx worked with 20 community members known as the Trials Elite to help create the game.

Ubisoft showed off more of Division II during its Electronic Entertainment Expo event today in Los Angeles. Notably, Ubisoft revealed that the sequel will have raids.

Raids are the most challenging cooperative experiences that online games offer. The first Division did not have these, but the sequel will let eight players team up for this end-game content.

The Division II is coming out on March 15 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Ubisoft is planning to supports The Division 2 with free updates, including three major episodes that will release in the first year.

Skull and Bones may have been delayed to 2019, but today’s E3 2018 trailer makes the wait tolerable.

Shown during the Ubisoft E3 2018 presentation today, Skull and Bones looks to be a dream come true for pirate fans wanting a more mature experience than Sea of Thieves.

Ubisoft announced in its latest earnings report Ubisoft Singapore needed more development time for the open-world title. Fine by us. Take all the time you need. We can wait.

Originally set for an autumn 2018 release, Skull and Bones will now release during Ubisoft’s 2020 fiscal year, which means sometime between after April 2019.

Today during Ubisoft’s E3 conference, the upcoming VR psychological thriller revealed Transference gameplay. The trailer we see seems to show off very haunting scenes and a creature wandering a house.

Transference’s Ubisoft Montreal has already partnered up with film production company Spectrevision, and actors and actresses such as Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller & Lisa Whalen are to tell character-driven stories and create mystery.

The game is a VR title and finds players navigating around a home and gathering clues about the family’s history by using their collective brain data. Players will be able to shift between three perspectives of a family.

It also invites players to escape the limits of techno-psychology as the player’s actions determine the fate of the family.
