Star Wars Battlefront II reaches native 4K resolution at the upper end of its dynamic resolution so, here is hoping that Battlefield 1 will follow suit. A dynamic scaling solution will most likely be implemented to ensure 4K and 30 FPS or upscaled 4K and 60 FPS, but we should know more later today going on the information from the Battlefield V twitter page:
“Join us from on #Twitch on Jul 31 for an exclusive livestream where we’ll discuss all the new game improvements in the #Battlefield 1 Summer Update including 4K support for Xbox One X and more”
Naturally, with updates, there will be some downtime to disrupt playtime.
“As part of the release of Summer Update to #Battlefield 1 happening today, we have planned downtime across all platforms while we update game servers. Downtime for each platform is as follows: PC: 08:00 UTC PS4: 09:00 UTC Xbox One: 10:00 UTC”
Battlefield 1 received several expansions in the past months, where some have been made available for free for a limited time, such as the Turning Tides update was playable for free, and all those who downloaded it got to keep the DLC. If you would like to see what else the update could contain, you can tune in to the Battlefield 1 Summer Update live stream today on the official Battlefield Twitch channel.
Battlefield 1 was released two years ago and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
