Xbox Elite Controller v2 Launching In October – Rumor

4.3
The Xbox Elite Controller v2 was leaked earlier this year, and though we have heard no sort of official confirmation from Microsoft that such a thing even exists, it almost seems inevitable at this point. Just last month, in fact, a bunch of details were leaked on the new controller, and now another report has emerged that suggests that it could be launching pretty soon.

Tom Warren, senior editor at The Verge, has posted a tweet claiming that the Xbox Elite Controller v2, which is codenamed “Washburn”, will be launching in October, and will be retailing for a price of $149. That, by the way, is also the price that the original Elite Controller launched for, so it does make sense.

As per earlier leaks, which you can read through the link provided above, the Xbox Elite Controller v2 is looking to improve upon a number of things over the previous version. That includes a three-stage trigger lock instead of the previous controller’s two-stage lock, tension control in the analog sticks, a USB-C charging port, as well as a charging dock. Additionally, we also assume the newer model will come with Bluetooth support, which wasn’t in the original version, though that’s not something that was mentioned in the leaks.

Either way, we should for sure soon enough- if the October release for the controller is real, then an announcement can’t be far away. Gamescome is just around the corner, beginning in a week, so that seems like the ideal time for Microsoft to make the announcement.

JOEYKMODS these controllers always look cool but are so way over priced for them really doing nothing more then a few aftermarket parts on these controllers!

I know right, way overpriced and nothing really new about it other than a new skin lol. Dont see myself playing an extra $100 for a new look only.

They literally listed 5 possible upgrades from the original. This is going to fix a few flaws it had and going to add features to make it more capable for the future of gaming like Bluetooth.

Exactly. I'm all for this new controller.

I have the Elite just now and it's the best thing I did. I couldn't go back to normal one now.

Well what do i want the scuff or the elite v2

Its still have overpriced, and whats the odds we gonna run into problems with the Bluetooth lol, $150 is a joke for a controller, keep in mind id want two, so gonna cost me $300, ok then.

I have an elite controller and I'm still really happy with it. This controller looks like a great upgrade from the first if the rumors are true. I expect this to be fairly better than the original, but it won't be worth the money to buy one since I have the original. If someone is on the market for a controller I say hold off until this drops and see all the features that come with it.
