New Call of Duty 'premium service' confirmed

Activision has revealed to investors that the new Call of Duty game will be fully revealed in a matter of weeks. Interestingly, the game is going to really ramp up its online play abilities, promising a range of dedicated online technologies as well as social networking features. These online features are being developed at Beachhead. Moreover, it was confirmed that the new Call of Duty will be the first to offer players extra online options at a premium.

However, Kotick of Activision was quick to calm fears. He noted that players will not have to pay more for services that are typically free and that they are used to.

MW3 CANNOT! Have zombies because treyarch has copyrights... therefore MW3 is not on my list of "GAMES TO GET :P!!"

actully no! most people i played against are bad people, wannabe pros, and people who hate the game and still play it and i agree with the comment "People only buy it becuase its a big brand" becuase they do my mates do it and its just like other brands Eg: Nike, Addidas

If you have to pay for premium, PSN users should have to but Xbox 360 users shouldn't cos we already play... That's if it does come out on playstation...

I want the game purely for the story, because mw2 didn't end very good for soap, and they are still Wanted, so i want to see if they will develop a new CoD or continue the MW 2 story

and no, brink you can't compare to CoD ..

I dont see why everyone is so upset about this. All they are saying is that they are going to be adding extra stuff.
And as for people saying they like IW and hate Treyarch, i dont think this will be a very IW dominated game. They were called in to help make sure the game met the release date. They arent a major factor in the game. Treyarch helped make MW2, but it didnt have the Treyarch feel to it.
All im saying is dont be disappointed if the game isnt reminiscent of the other modern warfare games.
