For everyone from the North East or accustomed to hiking trails, the name should found familiar–the Appalachian Mountains are some of the longest stretches of mountains across the United States. In fact, the range technically goes as far as Canada to Alabama, including the Blue Ridge Mountains from Fallout 76‘s continuingly iconic tune.
Seen in the Tweet from the official Fallout Twitter account, Bethesda name-drops the location’s title below:
How does Appalachia differ from the Commonwealth or Capital Wasteland? It starts with a Guitar Sword. #Fallout76 pic.twitter.com/6PKTyHwREy

Something that obviously can’t be ignored there is the fact that there is also a Guitar Sword in the game. This, seemingly, gives playing as a more bard-like build a bit more viable combat-wise, for people who enjoy pigeonholing RPG tropes into Fallout.
Fallout 76 is quickly starting to ramp up in PR for its Holiday launch, even promoting new Xbox One X bundles at some of the recent conferences. We are equally excited to return to the Fallout universe, and are hoping we may see a bit more environmental storytelling to pair with the lack of NPC’s.
Fallout 76 will be available on November 14, 2018; you can pre-order the game’s standard or Tricentennial Edition on Amazon to get access to the game’s beta.
