Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. Dates Announced for All Platforms

4.3
It was announced a few months back that Fallout 76’s B.E.T.A. would begin in October, but as of today we now have some more specific dates.

Bethesda announced today that Fallout 76’s closed beta will begin first on October 23 for Xbox One players and the following week on October 30 for those on PS4 and PC. Even though it will begin on these dates, however, servers will only be live for Fallout 76 during select times. This will allow them to stress test the servers to the best of their ability before launch day.

As for how long these sessions will last, Bethesda said the following:

On any given day the game might be up for anywhere between four to eight hours. Focusing as many players as we can into these windows is our prime objective. Then we’ll fix what we need to fix and do it again and again from the start of B.E.T.A. until a few days before launch. We’ll give you as much heads up as possible because we need you to log in during these times and play the game.

As previously announced, you’ll need to at least pre-order Fallout 76 if you want to gain access to this beta next month. If you haven’t done this already, you can still head over to Amazon right now to reserve your own copy.

Fallout 76 will launch on November 14 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Spencer Excited to try out the game before it comes out, and a much needed test for sure. I'm curious too see how Bethesda will run multiplayer servers when they're mostly known for single-player experiences.

Especially since playing Fallout 4 on an AMD graphics card causes frame stuttering for many people, I'm concerned how they're gonna make it so that PC players, regardless of their choice in hardware, can all have good gameplay and smooth FPS, if such an issue still persists in Fo4, because to me it seems like that little bug was just swept under the rug, so I hope it doesn't persist in their new game.
