Ace Combat 7 Will Support 8K & Unlimited Frame Rate on PC

4.3
Today Nvidia released a video about the upcoming game by Bandai Namco Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

The video stars Producer and Brand Director Kazutoki Kono as he explains what’s new with the game, including the skies and the narration from two points of view.

We also learn more about the PC version of the game, which will support unlocked frame rate to squeeze every drop of juice out of your gaming rig.

On top of that, you’ll be able to supersample the resolution to 200%. This means that if you have a massively powerful PC able to run at 4K with some power to spare, you can render the game internally at 8K, and then squeeze it down to 4K on the screen for an even crisper image.

You can check out the video below. If you want to learn more, you can read about the pre-order bonuses and watch me play the seventh mission of the campaign. You can also check out a recent trailer showcasing the VR mode, the trailer that revealed the release date, and a previous trailer also focusing on the story.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will release on January 18th for PS4 and Xbox One, while PC gamers will have to wait a little longer to February 1st for the release via Steam. You can already pre-order the game on Amazon.

The main problem is that not many people own tvs of that resolution lol

If you read the article, it's not native 8k. It's 4k super-sampled to 200% theoretically "upscaling" to 8k,

Same thing the PS4 pro does to emulate 4k. It's not going to require an 8k monitor to see the resolution difference because it won't ACTUALLY be at 8k. I don't think we'll see anything in native 8k for quite a few years excluding Star Citizen.

No need to be rude buddy. I did read the article, not many people own 4K televisions.

It will still look better than 4k, considering it is being downscaled from 8k.

Game is gonna look epic, 8k textures scaled down is just insane, gonna be a bitch to run it all though.
