Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Sells Big In Japan

According to an article from Famitsu, Nintendo’s latest entry in the Smash Bros. series, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, sold roughly 1.23 million copies during the first three days it was available in Japan.

Additionally, the game has (unsurprisingly) pushed hardware sales for the Nintendo Switch as over 278,000 units found new homes. The Nintendo Switch has now reportedly sold over six million units in Japan, so hats off to them for totally crushing it with the game.

The game also seems to be doing incredibly well overseas as on Monday, we reported that the title topped sales charts in the United Kingdom. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate seems to be rapidly outpacing all former entries in the series.

For more recent news on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you can check out the latest trailer for the first character that’ll be included with the season pass, Joker of Persona 5. Ultimate’s director, Masahiro Sakurai, recently gave fans new insight as to just how they’ll go about choosing new characters to include in the game.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch right now.

I'm not surprised the game has been hyped since it's been released

The game is unbelievable, I haven't been able to put it down. It's much more challenging than in years past, and the only glaring flaw is the online lags quite the amount.
