Treyarch’s decision of removing quick scoping from the last CoD title – Black Ops didn’t really please fans of the series who had got into a habit of using it to their advantage during multi-player sessions. However, Infinity Ward doesn’t intend to follow on their footsteps and have hinted that the feature might make it to the final build of Modern Warfare 3. IW’s community manager Robert Bowling strongly hinted that quick-scoping might be retained for the title during a AMA (Ask Me Anything) session which he held over at Reddit.
“Currently, you can still quick scope in Modern Warfare 3. Keep in mind though, multiplayer is always changing at this stage (new perks, new balancing, new everything all the time based on feedback), however our philosophy on that hasn’t changed since MW2.”
This is good news if you’re fan of quick-scoping as it seems they intend on retaining it for Modern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3 releases this November for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Quickscoping is fun but just like anything when you do or see to much of it, it becomes annoying, I am all for QS in mw3 but I think when your trying to win a game of search and you lose because the last person on your team is trying to get a "Cool trick shot" for the killcam it becomes very annoying
I also hate how I get put down in a game for using the sniper rifle properly. They complain that I didn't "quickscope". This kind of defeats the object of a sniper rifle as a whole.
They may as well rename the "sniper rifles" section of the armoury and replace it with "1337 quickscop3 weponZZZ". That way, people may complain about me for a reason.

I don't mind quick scoping even thou most of the people who QS on mw2 suck now. i won buy/ not buy this game because it dosent have something that was invented by players
But my true passion is to fire grenade lauchers across the map and hits quads so yeah hater gunna hate

And whoever says that all quickscopers are 13 years of age, well you are wrong. Take the FaZe clan, they quickscope and how old are their members? Their members range from ages around 13-19 so you shouldn't be saying that only "kids" quickscope. And it does take some type of skill to quickscope and if you think that isn't true then put down the UMP45 and pick up and Intervention and start quickscoping or shut up. BTW so anybody who is going to call me a raging kid, I'm turning 17 this year so yeah go ahead and call me a kid, but don't spam it on here, keep TTG clean and do it in a PM.

BolT_Action Quickscoping isn't a feature it's a technique. They can just choose how difficult they want it to be. And people who quickscope are not automatically 13 to whatever stupid **** said that below me
Im saying everyone that does it is 13. Im saying thats why I dont play mw2 anymore. Its all bunch of quickscopers that SUCK HORRIBLY but they still continue to do it and they make us lose. I mean idc if your good and you do it but I hate the idiots that cant get 1 kill and they do it....retarded kids.
Thats pretty ignorant to assume that everyone who quickscopes is 13 and im a comp sniper so im in a private match 90% of the time anyway. If you care about winning that bad, get a team and play GB. Nobody cares about winning pubs
i care about winning pubs, only cause i dont like losing, which is why i dont usually
