Treyarch’s decision of removing quick scoping from the last CoD title – Black Ops didn’t really please fans of the series who had got into a habit of using it to their advantage during multi-player sessions. However, Infinity Ward doesn’t intend to follow on their footsteps and have hinted that the feature might make it to the final build of Modern Warfare 3. IW’s community manager Robert Bowling strongly hinted that quick-scoping might be retained for the title during a AMA (Ask Me Anything) session which he held over at Reddit.
“Currently, you can still quick scope in Modern Warfare 3. Keep in mind though, multiplayer is always changing at this stage (new perks, new balancing, new everything all the time based on feedback), however our philosophy on that hasn’t changed since MW2.”
This is good news if you’re fan of quick-scoping as it seems they intend on retaining it for Modern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3 releases this November for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Actually, after all the patching I get a LOT less hitmarkers than in MW2. COD4 is still the king though.

RhyssBrahh its a game people relax, If someone wants to quickscope ... let them, they payed the money for the game they can do what they want... and dont give me that OMG people cant do that in real life ****, exactly thats why people are playing a "game" because thats what it is , a game. if you hate on cod because its not realistic , no ones making you play it... go play BF3 If you want realism.
You see the thing is games are for fun. Nobody wants a noob going around quick scoping them and making them angry. "they payed the money for the game they can do what they want" By this logic anybody that buys a game should be able to do whatever they want, including cheating, team killing and in general making the game bad for everyone around them.
exactly quickscoping is fun and if thats what they bought the game for ruining the game for everyone else then thats there problem...
H1GHR1S3 I really hope that the creators will have bolt-action snipe rifles so that people can Quick Scope.If they do the bolt-action sniper i want is the Intervention because that's the best bolt-action sniper rifle!

I am with having quick-scoping. I think it is a good tool to use in multi-player, cause you can use it at any range. For the trick-shotters out there that's fine that your K/D doesn't matter to you:)
