Treyarch’s decision of removing quick scoping from the last CoD title – Black Ops didn’t really please fans of the series who had got into a habit of using it to their advantage during multi-player sessions. However, Infinity Ward doesn’t intend to follow on their footsteps and have hinted that the feature might make it to the final build of Modern Warfare 3. IW’s community manager Robert Bowling strongly hinted that quick-scoping might be retained for the title during a AMA (Ask Me Anything) session which he held over at Reddit.
“Currently, you can still quick scope in Modern Warfare 3. Keep in mind though, multiplayer is always changing at this stage (new perks, new balancing, new everything all the time based on feedback), however our philosophy on that hasn’t changed since MW2.”
This is good news if you’re fan of quick-scoping as it seems they intend on retaining it for Modern Warfare 3.

I was considering buying this game and buying BF3. But now...hell no! I was a loyal CoD fan...until it turned into a pseudo-Halo game. I'm switching to BF3
Oh God... Now, I don't mind quick scoping but not when someone does it across the map. It defeats the purpose of sniping at all. It's not realistic but a more lazier way to kill someone instantly. I mean, if you were to go hunting you can't quick scope.
GODDAMNIT!!!!! I swear if it returns it will cancel my preorder and get Battlefield 3. cause im already leaning towards it. cause MW3 might as well be called MW2+ cause it is just added stuff... nothing is new other than campaign and COD Elite. and some changes in perks and weapons.. why not just update MW2?.. im tired of Activision/Treyarch/InfinityWard.
Better have Qs back in the game! Whats the fun part in sitting in a corner hardscoping people when you can run around crazy having fun getting some sick kills! On MW2 you could spend hours on end having fun in a QS NS match but on black ops you can spend minutes getting bored out your face then turning the xbox off. So yeah i'm up for it back :)
