Treyarch’s decision of removing quick scoping from the last CoD title – Black Ops didn’t really please fans of the series who had got into a habit of using it to their advantage during multi-player sessions. However, Infinity Ward doesn’t intend to follow on their footsteps and have hinted that the feature might make it to the final build of Modern Warfare 3. IW’s community manager Robert Bowling strongly hinted that quick-scoping might be retained for the title during a AMA (Ask Me Anything) session which he held over at Reddit.
“Currently, you can still quick scope in Modern Warfare 3. Keep in mind though, multiplayer is always changing at this stage (new perks, new balancing, new everything all the time based on feedback), however our philosophy on that hasn’t changed since MW2.”
This is good news if you’re fan of quick-scoping as it seems they intend on retaining it for Modern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3 releases this November for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

OX805 If quickscoping is such a problem, they should make a game mode for where you can only quickscope and not use guns, grenades, or knifing.
as long as they made it a gamemode and not in rest of the multiplayer I wouldnt mind it in the game so long as it sayed in that game mode and didn't apper in the rest of the multiplayer
They tried to stop it in Black Ops but people, like me can quick scope/ no scope and things why is it a problem. we do it for fun, mess around, good kill cams its something nearly everybody wants to do so why is it a problem now!
BolT_Action Quickscoping isn't a feature it's a technique. They can just choose how difficult they want it to be. And people who quickscope are not automatically 13 to whatever stupid **** said that below me
Im saying everyone that does it is 13. Im saying thats why I dont play mw2 anymore. Its all bunch of quickscopers that SUCK HORRIBLY but they still continue to do it and they make us lose. I mean idc if your good and you do it but I hate the idiots that cant get 1 kill and they do it....retarded kids.

I think they should keep quickscoping to give people a chance to choose what sort of player they want to be, machine-gunner, quickscoper or just normal sniper. I personally love trickshots and quickscopes but not everybody is good at everything.
