Known for their variety of titles in the SteamWorld series, developer Image & Form Games has been quiet for a bit since the release of their last title, but it appears that we won’t have to wait too much longer until we know what the studio is up to, with the new year right around the corner.
In a new video to celebrate the upcoming new year and to thank fans for their support, developer Image & Form Games also gave a tease that a new announcement appears to be on the horizon for the studio, which (we can assume) will hopefully be a new title reveal in the very near future. While we don’t know exactly what’s the store, the studio said that they will “see you sooner than you think.”
The most recent release from the studio was SteamWorld Dig 2 in late 2017 on consoles, handhelds, and PC, which overall was met with a favorable critical and audience reception, including our own review of the game from last year.
While we don’t quite know what to expect just yet from the studio, hopefully we’ll see either a new installment from some of their past SteamWorld titles or perhaps something new entirely. But from the sounds of the studio, we won’t have too much longer to wait and see.
