Infinity Ward suit against Activision going to trial

After languishing in the legal system for over a year, the lawsuit filed against Activision by Infinity Ward founders Vincent Zampella and Jason West appears to be moving forward, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The publication reports that a Los Angeles judge has ruled that Zampella and West's claims against Activision have merit -- complaints of unpaid royalties among others -- meaning the suit should finally be going to court.

The news comes months after a judge allowed Activision's countersuit to move forward as well. Both sides of the suit are seeking significant damages. Appropriately enough, with both sides cleared to proceed, it looks like it's finally time for Activision and the former Call of Duty developers to go to war.

Dude u r dumb, that **** happened in MW2 as well, it happens in all of them. Treyarch are more experienced i say, look at WaW, was a very balanced game, besides MP40, CoD 4 was great, but no other game of CoD can compare. BO takes more skill than u think mate. Lrn to look at the bigger picture, at least treyarch listened to the community

You know IW made CoD 4 right? And treyarch attempts to follow in IW's footsteps and ends up screwing it up. Many of the big commentators on youtube prefer MW2 over Black Ops because MW2 is FUN. Black Ops is frustrating is, imo, an incomplete game that needs fixing. It's not fun, aside from zombies, and it's not even worth playing multiplayer. Zombies is the only reason the BO disc is ever in my xbox.

When the ex CEO's were fired like 80% of Infinity Ward quit, so you still could say its the large majority of the old Infinity Ward. A lot of people thing that MW3 is getting made by the same guys who made MW1+2 but theres only like 6 people there who have worked on all three MW games.

If you have been keeping track of this then you know whats going on. it is the ex employees that are filing suit against activision. Don't quote me on this but i remember reading it was about somebody didn't get paid a bonus that they was suppose to receive, therefor the head creators stopped working with mw2 all together, why do you think mw2 was one of the most corrupt games out? There was nobody there to maintain the game with patches and updates etc... now with mw3 activision has rehired lead ceos to continue the modern warfare series.

IW is not suing Activision,it's founders/EX employees are.

They were fired for trying to leak content to EA and try and take ownership of the MW franchisee.

Infinity Ward is owned by Activision,and is still running developing MW3 and completely loyal to it's publisher,it just HAD some crooked guys at the top.

Lesson learned.
