During Sega Fes 2019 this weekend it was announced the Sega Mega Drive Mini would launch on September 19.
It will come with 40 pre-installed games, the list of which will differ by region. Two different skus will be offered according to Siliconera: one features a single controller ($60) and the other comes with two ($80).
Outside of Japan the Mega Drive was known as Genesis, so it’s likely to be called the Sega Genesis Mini in the US. But yes, it was also known as Mega Drive in Europe. Just in case there is any confusion.
During the event, Sega announced a small selection of the games included with the Japanese version.
