Infinity Ward and Respawn co-founder Jason West has joined Epic Games

Respawn Entertainment co-founder Jason West has joined Epic Games according to a report.

Epic Games has hired Jason West, who co-founded Infinity Ward and Respawn Entertainment with Vince Zampella.

This is according to a tweet from Geoff Keighley. While Epic has yet to announce West has joined the company, if Keighley said it’s true, it must be true. Still, take it as unconfirmed until official word comes out of Cary, North Carolina.

‏According to Keighley, West has been at the firm for at least a month.

Epic is making some huge moves... These are some really big names and people that made great game. I really hope they will stop being so underhanded with new releases and start becoming an actual competitor with Steam.... Remake your client to be more of a community than just another launcher and fix the issues people have with security by showing them you are working on a way to solve it. Epic NEEDS to become more consumer friendly to be able to get the rest of the gaming community to switch over....
