Microsoft Begins xCloud Internal Testing Ahead of Public Trials

4.1
Microsoft have hit a notable milestone in the development process of their upcoming cloud-streaming service, Project xCloud. Phil Spencer, head of gaming and Xbox at Microsoft, took to Twitter recently to confirm that the xCloud team has completed the project’s “takehome release”.

Takehome release, of course, refers to the fact that xCloud is now in internal testing phase, with the developers taking the product (or service, in this case) home and testing it in ordinary course of usage. With public trials for xCloud set to go live later this year, the beginning of internal testing comes at a great time for Microsoft as they gear up for a widespread launch.

Recently Microsoft announced new details on xCloud, such as giving users a variety of options by way of custom controls depending on what devices you’re streaming your games on, cloud awareness, and a lot more. Get more info through here. xCloud, whenever it launches, will be able to play all games that are natively available on the Microsoft Store, so there will be a lot to dive into for any potential subscriber.
