Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is an enhanced version of the original Ninja Gaiden 3. Team Ninja originally developed the game for Wii U in 2012 before bringing it to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 the following year. The game features all the downloadable content added to the the original, as well as a few key improvements.
The original Ninja Gaiden 3 actually received a fair bit of criticism when it was first released in 2012. Razor’s Edge attempts to address a lot of the criticism leveled at that game. This included retooling or outright removing a number of new mechanics added in the former, while also bringing back mechanics from Ninja Gaiden 2.
Trials Evolution represents the fourth installment of the popular Trials series of dirtbike games. Developer RedLynx made a lot of improvements with this game over its predecessors. The use of data streaming from the hard drive made for a game world that was much larger and much better looking thanks to higher-resolution textures.
Of course, Trials Evolution also comes with a track editor just like its predecessor, Trials HD. In addition to being able to create tracks, Trials Evolution also allows players to share them with friends over Xbox Live.
Xbox’s Larry Hryb, more commonly known as “Major Nelson,” made the announcement that these two games were joining the Xbox One backwards compatibility list over Twitter. These two join the extensive list of over 500 games now playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.
