Bowling explains Rave and Sledgehammers involvement with Modern Warfare 3

Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has said Raven Software’s part in the Call of Duty franchise was to help Treyarch with DLC as well as “random user interface and engineering tasks,” and it will be helping IW out with Modern Warfare 3 “in the same capacity”.


“The same can be said about bringing in Sledgehammer Games,” said Bowling to GameZines, stating the firm comes from “a very different background and who have added a lot to things like the storytelling and the way that we do things that have been beneficial.

“It’s co-development across the board as if we were one team. We’re all checking into the same tree and we’re all building off the same builds, so there’s never been a clear divide of ‘this is yours, this is ours, don’t touch this, don’t touch that’. It’s across the board of playing to each others strengths and weaknesses.”

Modern Warfare 3 is out on November 8.

Windows7 I agree that MW2 was good but black ops was kind of a let down imo. Zombies was the only good part of Black ops.

Exactly BO was not worth buyig and spending my money on, I only like zombies on there because the multiplayer sucks so much. They should have sold a zombies only disk for $30, but then no one would buy the multiplayer and they'd be out money.

i hope they have accurate hit detection. it seems the COD series has always had trouble with accurate hit detection. like homefront, the hit detection in that game is perfect and makes it a lot more fun and fair.

Modern Warfare 2 was actually a pretty good game until people started modding it.




u just proved that call of duty is bad cuz u can mod it. battle field cant be modded like that and thats why battlefield is better

Mw2 was amazing and black ops sucked d*ck, we got that covered.

battlefield and call of duty should not even be compared. call of duty is an arcade like shooter, crazy killstreaks, aability to run in at the entire team and kill them with quickscoping, but just all around a really fun game. Battlefield on the other hand is a simulator type of game, more realistic guns, graphics(although mw2 had great graphics), and a more in depth campain. Comparing Mw2 with battlefield is like comparing halo and gears of war, both are shooters but they dont have the same goal when comes in terms of how they should be played.
