Ex-Infinity Ward Dev Possibly Hints at Modern Warfare 2 Remastered

Despite not working for the Infinity Ward anymore, Robert Bowling seems to be teasing Modern Warfare 2 Remastered on his Twitter.

Back in February, after over a year of speculation, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered was rated by Pan European Game Information (PEGI), lending more credence to the game’s existence. While fans haven’t really heard anything about it since then, some new Twitter posts from Infinity Ward’s former Creative Strategist, Robert Bowling, might be teasing the game’s announcement.

Over the past week or so, Bowling has been tweeting videos, images, and more almost all pertaining to the Modern Warfare series in some way and more specifically Modern Warfare 2. The earliest tweet includes a picture of the Operation Kingfish members with the song “Hurt” by Johnny Cash playing over the top of it as it zooms in on Ghost’s face. The tweet also includes the date 10/8/19, which could possibly be the date for the game’s release.

Other similar tweets from Bowling include a slightly re-edited version of Captain Price’s “History is Written by the Victor” speech, and a picture of Bowling in front of a statue of Ghost from MW2.

It goes without saying that, given the fact that (as far as we know) Bowling isn’t a part of Infinity Ward or Activision, these teases could just be him hyping up the possible release or screwing around with fans. However, it’s totally possible that these are legit teases. If you want to check out the tweets for yourself, you can do so at the end of the article.

As of the time of this writing, neither Call of Duty: M0dern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered nor 2019’s Call of Duty title have been officially announced. Given the fact that it’s May 13, we should be hearing about both (hopefully) any day now.

Decy Honestly wont make a difference.. How many times does this have to keep popping up aswell if no ones playing the original like back in the what makes people think that this will be any different yes it'll be hyped up in the beginning but will most likely die out either way.


Are you kidding me MW2 is arguably the best cod in the series, the only reason it's not played much now is because all of the modders on it you can't even get into a legit lobby anymore. No doubt if they remastered it and don't **** it up it will have many players on it!


No, that's not really how it works. Cod 4 got remastered and no one played that after a few months. Mw2 remaster would be so, so, so much fun for a month. Then it would hit me, I'm not a kid anymore. This game isn't as fun anymore. I'm not playing with all my friends from middle school, and this game just isn't the same. I know that's how it would feel for me, and loads of others, because we've been through this before. Hopefully with how legendary mw2 was, it could make it through that "play for nostalgia phase" and actually succeed based on all games being total trash right now. But with the state of cod, I don't know about that.


Yeah it would be fun for like a week then people would realize that's not what they want from a game anymore. MW remastered was fun for about a week. But no one is playing that anymore. Cool if they drop it. But I don't see it lasting long.

Yeah gotta agree it's just not gonna be the same as it was back in 09. A lot has changed in 10 years. But I still think it will be hype just not equivalent to what it was then.

If it's campaign only then it's useless. But if includes multiplayer then I'm certainly signed up. Gonna be just like the old MW2 days.
