Terry Crews wants to star in a Gears of War movie

While WWE superstar Dave Bautista has been very vocal about wanting to play Marcus Fenix in an upcoming Gears of War movie, a surprise fan also wants to get in on the action: Terry Crews.

While it’s no news that Crews is certainly a gamer – the actor has been vocal on the matter for years now – his Gears affiliation is a new discovery. The actor does have some Xbox acting credit as well after his role as Commander Jaxon in Crackdown 3.

Taking to Twitter, Crews said that he likes the idea of starring alongside Bautista in an upcoming Gears of War movie.

“Damn. I like this. I like this very much,” Crews said.

Directly after Crews’ tweets, the Xbox community took to Twitter to campaign for the actor’s involvement, even tagging in Xbox Head Phil Spencer.

WW2 Please no. I don't want to see or hear ANY high tier payed actors to play in the gears movie. I LOVE gears of war. I can't have it in my head knowing that ___ played someone in the movie who I already know what they look like and how they sound. I see it, as in if you don't sound the part, there is no way you play the part.

Gears voice actors would never be able to fill the visual part of the movie though. Yes they have the voices you love and remember but def not the visuals which is a HUGE thing when it comes to gears is its environment and gore. Both of them are big ass dudes and they would fit the visual role really well.. I dont know about terry crews because most of his stuff is not serious when gears has a super serious story to be told.
