The ongoing legal dispute between electronics manufactures Sony and LG has come to an end.

The two companies reached a cross-licensing deal, putting an end to the back and forth patent lawsuits filed against each company, according to Reuters.

LG looked to block PlayStation 3 sales in Europe and the U.S. in a patent battle over Blu-ray playback technology, while Sony says LG's mobile phones infringed on several of its patents as well. In February 2011, LG won a preliminary injunction against Sony which temporarily blocked PlayStation 3 units imported to the UK and the rest of Europe.

Sony and LG started this patent war after both companies failed to renew a technology sharing agreement that expired three years ago.
