Xbox Still Committed To Strong Single Player Experiences

3.6
The world is changing fast, and gaming is no exception. While the “death” of single player content has been something people have been talking about for the better part of a decade, there’s renewed fear as things like streaming and subscription services, on paper, favor more ongoing multiplayer content over single player experiences. Microsoft is going in hot on both of those fronts, but the head of the division says they still plan to continue strong single player experiences.

On his official Twitter, Spencer was asked whether or not more single player games were coming. Spencer answered directly that yes, more single player focused titles were in the works, and that the Xbox Games Studios are committed to those types of games as well as anything else.

Microsoft has acquired a large number of studios over the years, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility that at least one of those studios will be on single player games. In theory, there should be a little something for everyone, so let’s hope in practice that’s what happens.

Anime Glad to see them figuring it out.

Not really figuring it out, especially since E3 didn't lead to any big single player announcements,
we need more doing and less saying
