Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s campaign is perhaps one of its most curious aspects, as it attempt to adopt a more mature form of storytelling to tell a most grounded and realistic tale. And even though the developers have remained insistent that they don’t view it as a political story, there can be no denying that it’s a lot more relatable to real-world ongoings that Call of Duty games have ever been.

We recently got out first look at a trailer for the campaign, and now, developers Infinity Ward have put out a new video in which they go bbehid the scenes to talk about the conceptualization and creation of the campaign. From their approach toward storytelling to the help they enlisted from military consultants to the characters in the story to how they have attempted to balance all of that with making sure the campaign is fun to play, they speak about a whole lot. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out on October 25 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
